In years to come she may not thank her for saying it, but Sophie Mae's grandma thinks she is the spitting image of her dad.
For bundle of joy Sophie Mae is Del Boy's little girl.
The toddler has brought a new lease of life to her 61-year-old famous father David Jason and her Mirfield grandmother is also as proud as punch.
"She is a daddy's girl. From the word go she looked like a miniature David," said grandma Shirley Hinchcliffe.
And she believes the baby has even inherited her famous father's mouth shape.
"I think David is still shell-shocked," said Shirley.
New dad David glows with pride when he speaks about his new-found fatherhood.
His partner, Mirfield-born Gill Hinchcliffe and mother of his daughter Sophie Mae, was in the audience while the actor, famed for his role as Del Boy in the BBC comedy Only Fools and Horses and as Insp Jack Frost in ITV's detective drama A Touch of Frost, spoke about his experiences of nappy changing during an interview with Michael Parkinson on BBC .
And watching from the couple's Buckinghamshire home was Gill's mum Shirley, who still lives in Mirfield.
She spent some time with the family over Easter and looked after little Sophie, her first grand-daughter, while her parents were in the studio for the Parkinson show.
Shirley, who was in the next room at Stoke Mandeville Hospital in Buckinghamshire and heard Sophie's first cry when she was born by caesarean on February 26, is clearly smitten with the latest addition to her family.
"She is gorgeous," she said.
She said Sophie wasn't a family name but the couple thought it would suit their first child.
David met Gill while she was working as a production manager for Yorkshire TV and they have been together for about six years.
And Shirley says there is no doubt that the TV star is adapting well to fatherhood, despite his later start in life.
"He feeds her and does very well."
And Shirley said her daughter was also adapting very well to her first-born.
"Gill just can't believe it, she keeps saying 'I can't believe she is mine.' She is totally besotted, it is lovely," said Shirley.
But she said although the couple were besotted with their little girl, they were adamant she would not be spoilt.
"But she is absolutely brilliant," said proud Shirley.
