A Keighley woman and her friend are following in the footsteps of the Royal National Theatre by staging a Shakespearean classic.
Emma Bowskill and Laura Kane are currently recruiting amateur performs for an September production of A Midsummer Night's Dream.
The romantic comedy was performed at Keighley's Victoria Hall earlier this spring by the National Theatre.
Laura and Emma met last summer while working as dressers backstage at the Alhambra Theatre during the musical Phantom of the Opera.
Soon afterwards they formed the Spot On! theatre company to fulfil their ambitions to direct plays, and Emma's passion for costume design.
The company performed Little Women last summer and A Christmas Carol in December, and is preparing A Midsummer Night's Dream for performances in Bingley on September 6-8.
Emma, from Utley, and Laura, from Bingley, are holding auditions in Keighley this Sunday and would welcome men and women of any age to join the cast.
The women are particularly looking for tall men, and romantic leads, as well as someone to play the leading role of Bottom.
The Spot On! version of A Midsummer Night's Dream will be set in the 1950s and feature "glamorously retro" costumes designed by Emma.
The company is holding a jumble sale tomorrow (10am-noon) at Silsden Town Hall to raise money for the costumes.
Anyone interested in auditioning, or donating jumble for the sale, should phone 01535 603327.
