Two 20-year-old women from the Worth Valley are jumping for joy after their first parachute jump.
Miriam Wilson and Wendy Dunstan went tandem skydiving to raise about £700 for the Anthony Nolan Bone Marrow Trust.
Miriam, of Haworth, and Wendy, from Stanbury, were each strapped to an experienced skydiver for last Saturday's jump.
The women jumped from an aeroplane flying two miles up and fell for 35 seconds at 120 feet a second until their parachutes opened.
"We were both terrified but it was really exciting," says Miriam, who works for Keighley vets Green Greaves and Thompson.
"After the parachutes deployed the instructor handed us the steering toggles and we guided ourselves down to earth."
Miriam and Wendy, a trainee teacher at Bradford University, plan to make another tandem jump next year.
