DAVID NELSON gave Bocking an early lead against Silsden Athletic and the Cobbydale side soon found things going from bad to worse.
Darren Midgley scored Bocking's second goal but Silsden managed to pull it back to 2-1 at the interval. The goal was the incentive Athletic needed and Garry Lund scored a hat-trick while David nelson grabbed a second but Bocking could not rescue the game as Silsden secured a 4-3 victory.
Royal Oak had most of the play, but saw hosts Keighley United snatch the goals to take a 2-0 half time lead. However, in the second half Oak began to make their possession pay dividends, scoring twice to take a share of the points in a 2-2 draw. Oaks scorers were R Nutter and H Robinson.
Keighley Victoria dominated their match against Shoulder of Mutton and were 3-0 by half time. In the second half they scored two more goals and just to show there was no ill feeling the Vics captain scored an own goal.
Cottingley had to be content with a 1-1 draw at home to Stockbridge despite controlling much of the game. Both goals were scored in the first half.
Midland reached the semi-final of the Jeff Hall Memorial Cup after knocking St Annes Celtic out of the competition in a tight quarter-final clash. Both teams scored in the first half to leave honours even at the break. Richard Langhorne added two more to his first half strike to complete his hat-trick and give Celtic a 3-1 victory.
