Some fans may not like it but Bradford City could do deadly rivals Leeds a huge favour in their Champions League quest by beating Liverpool tonight.
A win over Gerard Houllier's treble-chasers would significantly boost the chances of City's West Yorkshire neighbours nicking third place.
Doing Leeds a favour will have no bearing on the pre-match team talk but boss Jim Jefferies has promised his side will give it all they've got in their final four games in the Premiership.
He said: "We're involved in four big games now with two Champions League teams and two others involved in relegation.
"And we can assure everybody that we won't be lying down. Our pride is at stake and although we can't now finish fourth from bottom there is no reason why we can't climb a couple of places.
"We stopped Liverpool from getting into the Champions League last year and now we have the chance to do the same again.
"There was obviously a lot more at stake for Bradford City last season. It was a cup final and the team were fully committed for it.
"But we are determined to finish this season strongly and the fans wouldn't expect anything less from us tonight."
Gareth Whalley has shaken off the stomach bug that ruled him out at Goodison and will replace Jamie Lawrence.
Jefferies said: "Although it was a hard, physical game on Saturday, we badly missed Gareth and his ability to put his foot on the ball.
"We probably weren't as good in possession as we have been in the last two or three matches and Gareth's been a big reason for that.
"Having him back gets the balance right in the midfield with Stuart McCall's aggression and Eoin Jess getting forward to link with the strikers.
"He wasn't available until recently and our improved form has coincided with Gareth's return."
Vladimir Smicer and newly-crowned PFA young player of the year Steven Gerrard are expected to return to the Liverpool side.
City are giving a trial to Australian left-sided midfielder Dino Mennillo, 25, from Wollongong Wolves.
