Jim Jefferies knows all too well the biggest threat to Bradford City finishing their home campaign in winning style against Middlesbrough tomorrow.

Forget Croatian ace Alen Boksic and his reputed £62,000 a week Premiership-topping wage. Dean Windass is the player Jefferies fears will have the major say in gatecrashing the Valley Parade party.

Windass has already stirred up his former team-mates with a few jibes and will be busting to make just as big an impact on the pitch where he became a folk hero.

Jefferies said: "Dean has got a lot of hidden quality that some people may not pick up on. He always gave 100 per cent for Bradford City but there is more to his game than that.

"He gives you a goal threat from the middle of the park which is what Middlesbrough were looking for and from what I've seen of him since he has gone up there, things have gone very well.

"Deano has already chipped in with a couple of goals and been unlucky on a few occasions so we know how dangerous he can be.

"As I said at the time, he was a player I wanted to keep. But it was Dean's choice and it's been a good move for him."

Jefferies has the luxury of being able to name an unchanged side for the fourth time in five games as skipper Stuart McCall clocks up his 350th league game for the Bantams.

City still have two more away matches to go - including next Sunday's West Yorkshire derby at Elland Road - but they are determined to bring down the Premiership curtain at Valley Parade on a high.

They earned a standing ovation in defeat on Tuesday night against Liverpool and Jefferies is looking for an equally bright performance. Jefferies said: "Boro went to Arsenal and won 3-0 and beat Leicester at their place so it shows

how strong they are away from home.

"But Bradford City have been a different proposition in the last seven or eight matches. If you ask Liverpool, they will feel a bit flattered to have got a 2-0 win.

"You won't always meet a team of Liverpool's quality, so if we can raise our game like that again tomorrow it might be good enough for victory."

Boro coach Terry Venables was at the game and said: "They impressed

me as a good attacking side and will be very dangerous. Bradford will want to get one over us for the defeat in the FA Cup and it's going to be tough."

Christian Karembeu returns from suspension in place of Phil Stamp.
