The roles were reversed for a Keighley College student who had a hair-raising experience to raise cash for a local playgroup.
Trainee hairdresser Simon Petty offered to have his legs waxed to help Stepping Stones Playgroup raise enough cash to buy new play equipment.
Youngsters from the playgroup watched on as he endured the eye-watering experience, which was administered by the college's hair and beauty technician Andrea Neale.
Simon, 26, from Crossflatts says: "It's my own fault because I opened my mouth on Comic Relief day and said that I wouldn't mind having my legs waxed for another charity event.
"Andrea kept me to my word and told me that Stepping Stones, where her sister Linda Kearton is a playgroup assistant, was trying to raise £500 to buy a metal climbing frame.
"It's important that the children have something to play on and I'm happy to help out, although it's a once in a lifetime experience that I won't be doing again!"
The playgroup - which has been based for the last three years in the Apostolic Church, in Apsley Street - wants to increase the amount of play equipment for its 18 children.
Linda says: "We are gradually building things up but we are a bit short of large play equipment.
"We'd never be able to afford the climbing frame without the help of people like Simon because it's such a large amount of money."
"Our parents have also raised money with a spring fair and sponsored bounce."
Linda, playgroup leader Becky Harding, play worker Chloe Bray and parents turned up to watch Simon lose his hair.
