A 'god' of the folk music world will this month fiddle with the Worth Valley's growing reputation as a centre for musical excellence.
Dave Swarbrick's skill on the electric fiddle made him one of the key members of legendary folk-rock band Fairport Convention.
This month he teams up with Scots singer-songwriter Alistair Hulett - a superstar in Australia - for a concert in Haworth.
The show comes hot on the heels of folk performances on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway and a string of concerts organised by leading singer-musician Maggie Boyle.
Swarbrick (pictured) and Hulett wowed audiences and critics at folk festivals when they first came together in 1997.
Swarbrick has been a pillar of the English folk revival since the early 60s when he shot to prominence as a young man in the Ian Campbell Folk Group.
He worked with fellow folk legend Martin Carthy and helped make Fairport Convention a household name.
Since then Swarbrick has played in acclaimed acoustic groups such as Whippersnapper and Band of Hope as well as playing alone.
Hulett is barely known on the British music scene despite his songs being recorded by such leading folk artists. In Australia he has a long track record and a reputation as one of the best Scottish singers and songwriters.
He joins with his old friend Dave Swarbrick for the concert on May 12 at the Royal British Legion Club in Haworth.
Tickets for the 8.30pm show cost £8 either on the door or by phoning 01535 642566.
