In 1912, the Re. H. F. Flynn was inducted as Vicar of Clayton.

In 1917, a presentation was made to Mr Arthur Priestman on his retiring from municipal work in Bradford.

At least 18,000 people flocked to Myrtle Park, Bingley, to enjoy the carnival-like atmosphere of the Aire Faire. The event, organised by Wilsden Village Hall Committee, was described by the chairman, Dr. Verner Wheelock as a "tremendous success". He said that he was confident that it would prove to be the most successful event they had organised.

A full inquiry is to be made into the circumstances in which a Bradford girl of five is said to have been refused admission to two Bradford hospitals when badly burned yesterday. She died in St. Luke's Hospital early today. An ambulance took the child to the Children's Hospital, but it is stated she was not admitted because no beds were available in the surgical ward. From there, she was taken to the Royal Infirmary but again was sent away.
