l One person had to be cut out from the wreckage of a car in a crash near the back of Wharfemeadows Park, off Farnley Lane, Otley ,yesterday just before 3pm.

Two people, believed to be the occupants of a red and white Citroen Special car, were taken to Leeds General Infirmary by road.
Firefighters had to cut off the left-hand door to free the passenger of the car. At the time of going to press, it was unclear what caused the accident.
