PRELIMINARY round ties were played in the Waddilove and Birtwhistle Cups on Sunday. Rawdon overwhelmed Division C side Upper Wharfedale hammering 321-6 off their 45 overs after losing opener Craig Walsh for three.
Kenrick Marshall plundered 72 and Bruce Percy 52 before M Doyle gave the innings a timely boost with an unbeaten 80 with good support from Jamie Davey with 36 and Duncan Stow with 54.
Upper Wharfedale fell for 134 in reply as Neil Waite took 4-11.
Bilton were another side among the runs and they hit 216-4 against visitors Thackley who fell for 129 in reply as D Wetherspoon claimed 5-23 off 8.4 overs.
Bilton opener Miles Corish hit his second century in successive days when he blasted 109. Thackley opener J Trees top scored with 37 .
Addingham gained a seven wickets win over visitors Bardsey after dismissing them for 109 with Chris Campbell taking 5-21. Opener G Harvey gave Addingham a good start with a knock of 38 and this was followed up by an excellent 45 not out from Sean Atkinson.
Birtwhistle Cup
IN the Birtwhistle Cup Green Lane's 193-4 was too big a target for Calverley who fell for 96 as Scott Crosby took 3-15 and Billy Cousins 2-7. S Parkinson top scored for Lane with 87 while Phil Atkinson made 39 and Gordon Potts 23.
Bilton gained a nine wickets win over Thackley who fell for 104 as A Kitchen grabbed 5-9 off seven superb overs. A half-century from M Dickinson helped seal victory for Bilton.
Rawdon rubbed off Upper Wharfedale's 211-7 with eight wickets down. Opener A Hall and Gary Walker shared top billing with 45 each while J Best hit 26 not out, Graham Lawson 24 and Ian Vinall 22.
Addingham gained a six wickets win over Bardsey who fell for 158 as Dick Barrow took 3-17.
D Shackleton opened with 41 not out and other good contributions came from S King with 40, Duncan Leng with 31 and R Ward with 22 not out.
