Bracken Ghyll
Golf Club
The results for the April Men's Competitions at Bracken Ghyll reflected the difficult playing conditions that the wet winter has imposed upon us.
There being virtually no run on the ball meant that the course was playing much longer than usual and scores were correspondingly higher with only two players equalling par or better in the monthly medal.
Tribute must be paid to the green keeping staff and the general condition of the course when, despite the appalling winter weather we have experienced, we have only had to play on winter greens on two occasions since last October and the course has rarely been closed.
