New Rhinos coach Darryl Powell is calling for more of last week's brilliance as they bid to topple the Bulls.

Leeds rattled up a 74-16 win over St Helens seven days ago to sound a warning ahead of their clash with their arch rivals tonight.

Now Powell says: "Last Friday was a top quality effort, as a coach you couldn't ask for much more. I stressed at the time that all the credit should go to the players who showed what they are truly capable of.

"It didn't matter who we played, that brand of football would have beaten anyone on the day.

"There has been improvement week-by-week and, on attack especially, we are close to our best.

"We've certainly gained confidence from the way we played against Saints but we know that it only won us two points.

"What we have concentrated on since is taking the same attitude and desire into tomorrow's game, particularly from the start, and trying to match the performance.

"We know that the outcome may not be the same every week because you've got to be adaptable to the kind of game you're in.

"I've always said that with the quality we have got, if we can play to our strengths and ability then the results will look after themselves,

"We are looking to consistently play that brand of exciting football.

"We're in a run of consecutive home games and that's another motivation. We've got pride in keeping our line in tact and defending strongly in front of our fans.

"Matches against Bradford are always big, special nights. We all thought the atmosphere was fanatstic last Friday so with maybe 5,000 more in the ground it should be sensational."

Powell's team selection has been thrown into confusion over the suspension of ever-present Karl Pratt, who has deputised for injured scrum-half Ryan Sheridan for the last two games.

The club's appeal against Pratt's two-match ban, for a dangerous throw in the win at Halifax ten days ago, was being heard today. If Pratt is unavailable, Powell has the option of bringing in youngster Rob Burrow or switching Iestyn Harris, who is just three tries short of 100 tries in domestic rugby league.

The permutations were increased by the availability of full-back Brett Mullins and hooker Matt Diskin, who have recovered from hamstring injuries, which leaves only Sheridan on the casualty list.
