Police have pledged more arrests will follow after releasing two people questioned in connection with the Easter Sunday disturbances in Bradford.
A 31-year-old from Bradford Moor and a 38-year-old from Allerton were released on bail after being quizzed over the violence in Lidget Green.
The pair were arrested in connection with the initial outbreak at the Coach House pub - a fight which sparked over three hours of violence. They had been seized during early morning searches at five properties in the district yesterday.
Detective Inspector Phil Sedgwick, who is leading the inquiry, pledged more arrests were to follow: "We are conscious that people may feel we have been slow, but we have to make sure we have evidence before we act."
He said the investigation was a 'painstaking process', but he called the arrests 'the start of the process' and appealed for more information from the public.
More than three hours of violence saw around 100 separate crimes committed, including passers-by attacked, businesses looted and cars burnt.
Anyone with information should contact police on 0845 6060606 or Crimestoppers on (0800) 555111. They can also call a special Urdu hotline on (01274) 376313.
