Bradford Bulls have brought down the curtain on a long-running dispute with their sponsors after a cheque was cleared for money owed to the Super League club.
The rugby club had been due to start separate insolvency proceedings against Skylark and its parent company Lyne Baxter yesterday at Leeds County Court, but instead told the hearing the £176,250 it was owed had been paid.
But the case was adjourned until June 7 after another creditor, who had supported the original petition, stepped in to substitute the Bulls in the proceedings.
A spokesman for the club said: "The club received the cheque yesterday and we were told today it had been cleared by the bank."
