A 33-year-old woman has become the latest victim of a beating and a serious sexual assault in Bradford.
The attack took place at around 5.15am yesterday in a yard off Smith Street, near Listerhills Road, Bradford.
The victim was hit over the head with a bottle and suffered head injuries. She received medical attention in Bradford Royal Infirmary but was later released.
The attacker, described as white, in his early 20s with short ginger hair and wearing a blue coat and blue jeans, fled along Thornton Road towards the city centre.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said the woman, who was seen by specially trained police officers, had put up a fight and the attacker's clothes would have been blood stained.
Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed anything unusual to come forward.
They are also appealing for anybody who knows of a man fitting the description with blood on his clothes or who did not turn in to work yesterday to telephone Bradford South police on (01274) 376485.
