Groom Steven Jenkinson, pictured, made sure he to the church on time thanks to Emily - his 1967 VW split-screen camper van.
Steven, of The Covert, Birstall, tied the knot with bride Elaine at St Patrick's Church in Birstall and arrived with his best man in the classic vehicle.
Elaine meanwhile, who is manageress of Swinton Insurance in Batley, chose a black 1964 VW Beetle cabriolet, belonging to her friend, to take her and her father to the church.
Elaine and IT consultant Steven spent two years restoring Emily to its former glory so it could do them proud on Saturday.
"We stripped her right back to the bare metal, got new panels and gave her a respray," said Elaine, 33."We always said we would use Emily as one of the wedding cars and she will also take us on our honeymoon to Loch Lomond in Scotland. We called her Emily because the daughter of the man we bought her from in 1997 had given her the name."
Elaine was given a W-reg silver Beetle named Walter as a wedding present from Steven, a former Queensbury High School pupil.
The pair, who are members of the LBC2 - the Leeds Beetle Club - met four years ago when Elaine taught Steven, 27, to snowboard.
