Bradford Park Avenue are looking for a major sponsor to carry the club forward to the Football League.
Chairman Frank Thornton told guests at a civic reception to celebrate Avenue's UniBond League Division One championship triumph: "My dream is to come together with a major sponsor.
"That sponsor would be someone, who could recognise the heritage of a club that has risen from the ashes and would want to tie up with us to go all the way.
"To me, Park Avenue is very special, the most special club in non-league football. No one else has got the background of history and achievements and I want to build on that by going back into the Football League. We only need two more promotions.
"It is amazing to think that we were in the Third Division of the West Riding County Amateur League 13 years ago.
"We want to build up our support. I have been disappointed with the general reaction of people in Bradford, but it is getting better.
"We also want to strengthen our off the field management. The soccer management team have done a good job.
"The ground is a problem because, if we gained promotion we couldn't play at Horsfall Stadium."
Players, officials and supporters gathered at City Hall and were congratulated by the Lord Mayor of Bradford, Coun Ghazanfer Khaliq, who was accompanied by the Lady Mayoress, Shahnaz Khaliq.
Chief Executive Ian Stewart and other council officials were also present.
Former -players who shared in the success of the modern Park Avenue were club president Charlie Atkinson, Johnnie Downie, Billy Neil, Malcolm Lawton, Alan Ham and Jeff Suddards.
