Rail users have demanded improvements on the Huddersfield-Brighouse-Bradford line following months of misery and cancellations.
Discussions and debate surrounding the problems dominated a meeting between members of the Halifax and District Rail Action Group and Metro
Passengers voiced their concerns to David Hoggarth, rail services manager at Metro, and demanded an end to the disruption to services.
Mr Waring said: "Top of the agenda was rail performance. Rail users in our area have endured a year of disruption, the extent of which should not have happened.
"We demanded the replacement of trains by buses on the Brighouse line should end. We were told there should be an end to this by the start of the new summer timetable which comes out on Monday.''
Mr Hoggarth detailed the latest West Yorkshire Railplan and aspirations. It was hoped to provide a double service frequently on the Bradford-Halifax-Brighouse-Huddersfield service.
