Former Telegraph & Argus journalist Martin Bedford was today appearing at a readers fair in Bingley as part of Bradford Council's Reading in the City literature festival.
The Ilkley author has penned four well-received novels and, as reader in residence of the festival, he was be sharing his experience of writing with visitors and answering questions about his latest work, Black Cat, which is loosely based on Ilkley Moor.
The readers fair aims to encourage people to expand their reading experience by looking at new books and introducing them to literary groups.
Visitors will also have a chance to buy new paperbacks or bring their old novels along to exchange in the book swap.
The event, from 11am to 3pm, also includes quizzes, fairground-style sideshows and a Chuck a Book literary hoopla.
