Bulls hooker James Lowes, pictured, will skipper York-shire in the new-look "Origin Game" with Lancashire at Headingley next month.
Lowes heads a big Bulls presence in Lee Crooks' white-rose side.
Six of his colleagues were also expected to be handed call-ups today for the match which is being used an official Test trial for the three-match series with world champions Australia at the end of the season.
England World Cup stars Stuart Fielden, Paul Ander-son and Jamie Peacock were hot tips for inclusion and there could also be a return to representative rugby for Bulls stalwart Brian McDer-mott.
Leon Pryce and Lee Gilmour, who have forged a splendid partnership on the Bulls left flank in recent weeks, are expected to complete the Bulls contingent.
The Lancashire squad for the clash, which is being staged on Tuesday, June 5, was due to be named later today.
Meanwhile Jamie Langley and Michael Lyons both grabbed a couple of tries as the Bull Academy side beat Halifax Blue Sox 24-14 at Odsal. Aaron Smith also crossed and their were two goals from Danny Ramsden.
