Guiseley faltered against Steeton on Saturday in their Airedale and Wharfedale League match losing by two wickets.
Guiseley made a good enough start with openers Mark Ross (11) and Barry McCormick adding 70 for the first wicket. McCormick was first out and then Ross played the anchor role finding allies in Glen Taylor (18), and Ian Chaplin (24) before he wasfourth out with the score on 126.
Guiseley eventually made 219-9, Martin Knowles adding a lusty 24 no at the end.
Steeton made an excellent start in reply with openers Alex Howarth (79) and overseas player Grant Lindsay (44) sharing a stand of 93. Robert Wynn then chipped in with 27 and although wickets were lost cheaply after that Steeton coasted to victory.
Rawdon were another side with no joy. They were dismissed for 119 as Knaresborough's veteran Mike Baxandall claimed 6-45 off 24.4 overs.
Knaresborough thn knocked off the runs for the loss of six wickets with opener Jon Corcoran making 40. Kenrick Marshall battled valiantly to finish with 4-27 off 18 overs and Bruce Percy also bowled accurately taking 2-37 off 19.4 overs but at the nd of the day Rawdon just did not score enough runs.
Menston had no answer to Collingham's Steve Booth (4-30 off 19 overs) and M Rosser (3-21 off 16 overs) and they capitulated for 107. Despite Michael Brendankamp's 4-37 off 15 overs Collingham won by three wickets.
