Bradford is beginning to make its mark on Britain's multi-million pound conference business. More than 1,300 delegates are already scheduled to hold their conferences in the city. About 500 delegates will be in Bradford in July for an international psychiatry conference.

With lions, horses, elephants, oxen, clowns and a couple of Chinese girls who hang by their pigtails, Billy Smart's Circus has arrived in Bradford. The circus, one of the largest in the world, will stay in Peel Park for a week.
