A 36-year-old man suffering from a rare heart condition may have collapsed and died as he was getting out of bed, an inquest heard.
Richard Andrews was found on the floor inside his bedsit by a friend on Christmas Eve last year, Bradford Coroner's Court heard.
A post-mortem examination showed that he had a condition which caused an abnormal heart beat.
Consultant pathologist Dr Jan Lowe told the hearing one in 40 people with the condition die suddenly or unexpectedly without developing any symptoms.
He said he believed it was possible Mr Andrews either partially fell out of bed or collapsed while getting out of bed before he died.
Coroner Roger Whittaker recorded a verdict of death from natural causes on Mr Andrews, of Dudley Hill Road, Undercliffe, Bradford.
