A man from Crossflatts is appealing for help in tracking down a picture of Bingley Children's Gala from 50 years ago.
Jack Crabtree, of Cedar Crescent, hopes some readers will remember a procession in 1951 when he led a horse-drawn fire engine around the streets.
The former butcher's assistant, now 73, who worked at Frank Feathers in Saltaire, hopes to rekindle some happy memories of the gala through one or more photographs of the event.
He said: "I never got a picture but I'm sure someone will have one that I can borrow."
Mr Crabtree said the traditional fire engine had been pulled by twin horses, one of which belonged to the late Smith Darnborough.
Anyone who can help is asked to contact Mr Crabtree on (01274) 561513.
