In 1924, a Hospital 'rag' by Bradford Technical College students raised £375.
In 1926, Motor buses began runing into Bradford.

Fifty firemen from the Bradford area fought for an hour to save a five-storey mill in Shipley. Although the third, fourth and fifth floors of the almost empty Perseverance Mill were gutted, the basement, which is occupied by two motor repair businesses, escaped damage. However, a small stone built warehouse and joiner's shop, occupied by Killick Carpet and Furniture Ltd, was awash and there was extensive water damage to some carpets.

Sites for 3,670 houses have been approved by Bradford Corporation Public Works Committee.
The sites, 12 in number, cover a total of 4,222 acres at Buttershaw, Idle, Eccleshill, Shirley Manor and Bierley. Roads and sewers have been designed and work is in progress.
