It's gala day and knight tomorrow as teenage damsel Michelle Tretton prepares for her coronation.
And to ensure the new Keighley Gala Queen reaches the ceremony safely the Keighley News arranged for her own princely protector.
Chris Pickering reprised his role as a sword-wielding royal in the recent medieval show from youth theatre HYT. The pair are pictured in historic garb to promote the special medieval theme of this year's gala.
The timetable of events and other information is listed in our special Summer of Fun supplement free inside this week's issue.
As the finishing touches were put to the gala, an 11th hour appeal was put out to former Keighley Gala queens to join a reunion that is taking place to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the charity event.
Gala committee secretary Joyce Ashworth says past gala queens can still join in the festivities tomorrow.
So far a total of 24 former queens will be joining together in Town Hall Square, following months of painstaking searching and several appeals in the Keighley News.
Joyce says: "We thought it would be nice to track down as many former gala queens as possible and we have got them as far back as 1936, but we have still got a few gaps, especially in the 1940s and 1950s.
"If any of them want to take part, but have not yet contacted us, then they are welcome to join us on the day.
"Keighley and District Travel has kindly loaned us one of the old red liveried Keighley West Yorkshire buses and a modern single decker bus to provide transport for everyone."
The buses will leave Victoria Park at 12.30pm and will arrive in Town Hall Square at 1pm. Anyone who would like to take part should contact Joyce Ashworth first on 01535 605816.
