A dare from an old schoolmate led former Beckfoot School pupil Sarah Holden on a search which will reunite former classmates from around the world.
After organising a 10-year get-together in 1991, Sarah, of Tewitt Lane, Eldwick, rose to a challenge from her friend Anu Greenwood to bring everyone back to Bingley another decade on. Now she hopes Telegraph and Argus readers will help her to find a handful of past upper sixth-form pupils who left the Wagon Lane school in 1981 after completing A-levels.
Sarah, whose surname was Jones when she was at the school, has tracked down many of her old classmates but is still looking for Tracey Spencer, Alison Hall, Mary Butler, Amanda Holmes and Rosemary Memery.
Sarah, a parental involvement officer at High Crags School in Shipley, said: "After the last reunion took so long, I said I wasn't going to do it again and threw all the details away, but Anu was emigrating to Canada and she bet me that I couldn't do it again. She said if I sorted it out, then she would come back for the reunion."
During her search for the former students who are now all around 38 years old, Sarah had a surprise for her friend Anu who moved to Toronto with her Canadian husband last year.
"We spoke to someone who told us another classmate, Simon Bailey, had also moved to Toronto. He has been e-mailing us and is going to come to the event to coincide with a trip back to see his family."
The reunion is at Baildon Rugby and Cricket Club on Jenny Lane on July 7. Anyone who can help trace the last few people should contact Sarah on (01274) 510072 or (0774) 0203305.
