A half-century in just 23 balls from the evergreen Murphy Walwyn saw Bowes Section leaders Woodlands to a seven-wicket win over lowly Windhill.

Walwyn finished unbeaten on 67 with eight sixes and four fours, and his partnership with Russell Murray (61 not out) set up Woodlands for a comfortable victory.

He also took three for 15 as Woodlands remain two points ahead of Bankfoot.

Windhill opener Amjid Huss-ain hit 54 in his side's 173 for six, but they remain 19 points adrift at the bottom of the table and are still without a win this season.

Second-placed Bankfoot had a 46-run victory over Esholt, Saleem Mughal scoring 53 in their 206 for eight.

Esholt run-getter Lou Vincent was back on form with 78, but with Greg Colehan taking five for 35 the visitors were shot out for 160.

Verity Section leaders Mir-field suffered only their second defeat of the season at Saltaire, where veteran Bob Hodson continued his fine form, taking six for 51 as the hosts ran out four-wicket winners.

Mirfield could only amass 115 in their 50 overs thanks to Hodson's excellent bowling and three for 49 from Mohammed Waseem, the home team needing only 21.2 overs to overtake their score.

Lightcliffe won by five wickets against Bowes basement club Drighlington after bowling out the home side for 149, Mubashir Nazir taking five for 35.

An unbeaten stand of 64 between Matthew Baxter (56 not out) and Nazir (27 not out) saw Lightcliffe to victory.

Great Horton went down to a seven-wicket defeat at home to Manningham Mills for whom Mahboob Hussain took five for 52.

Phil Slater (70) and Adam Parkinson put on 98 for the first wicket to set up a comfortable win for the visitors.

Idle's Hassan Adnan - highest Bradford League run-scorer this season with 739 - could only add 12 to his tally this weekend as his side totalled 178 for eight and had to settle for a losing draw at home to Salts.

Salts opener Baz King hit 11 fours in his innings of 67 to put them on their way to a total of 218 for nine and, although Idle opener Graham Dobson scored an unbeaten 51, the home side were still 40 runs short at the end.

The Towler brothers' excellent bowling form continued for Keighley as they shot out Bowling Old Lane for 82, Dale taking four for ten, Ross three for 35 and Alex one for 20 in an innings that lasted only 28.5 overs.

Ross then scored 29 in Keigh-ley's reply as they passed the Old Lane total with only two wickets down.

Following victory over Drigh-lington last weekend, Hartshead Moor again tasted success with a 63-run win against Morley at Scatcherd Lane.

Opener Mick Stevenson top-scored with 49 as the visitors totalled 178 for eight, and then four wickets apiece from Stuart Hudson (4-22) and Andy Measey (4-31) tore the Morley batsmen apart as they slumped to 115 all out.
