A Bradford-based building materials supplier has pledged to push ahead with future expansion plans despite the sudden death of its managing director and founder.
Glen Tankard, 54, who founded Specialist Building Factors in 1989, died of suspected heart failure last Wednesday.
But his family will continue to play a major role at SBF, with his widow Pauline taking overall control and their son John and daughter Elizabeth also working for the firm.
And Patrick Campbell, who has taken charge of the day-to-day running of the business with Ron Glasby, said the company would continue its planned growth.
He said: "Glen's death has hit us very hard emotionally because so many of his family are employed here. His greatest legacy will be that he left the company in a very strong position.
"We have spent the last couple of months deciding how we would take the business forward and I know he would have wanted it to continue."
The company's headquarters, off Manchester Road in Bradford, and its second outlet in Peterborough, will both close on Thursday - the day of Mr Tankard's funeral - as a mark of respect.
The funeral will be held at the United Reform Church on Bridge Street in Otley at 1.30pm.
