What is believed to be the world's biggest curry restaurant has officially opened in Cleckheaton.
The opening ceremony of the £1.7 million Aakash restaurant last night was performed by the Lord Lieutenant of West Yorkshire, John Lyles, and attended by civic dignitaries and business leaders.
Mohammed Iqbal Tabassum, pictured, said he had seen his "personal dream" come true by converting the former Providence Place Chapel in Bradford Road.
He said: "For many months we have worked very hard to create the world's biggest Indian restaurant. Most have sometimes wondered if my idea was ever going to come into fruition, but it finally has."
The 144-year-old building had been empty for ten years before he bought it.
