A double triumph over Collingham put Rawdon into the semi-finals of the Waddilove Cup and took them above their rivals into fifth place in the league.

Big hitting dominated both games with Craig Walsh boosting his average massively with an unbeaten 71 in 113 balls in the eight-wicket win in the league and finishing on 43 not out in the cup.

But the nine-wicket Waddilove victory was dominated by Kenrick Marshall who was obviously not willing to stick around and let rain threaten the tie.

He raced to a half century in 19 balls, and was finally out having smashed nine fours and seven sixes in a 39-ball 87

Rawdon, who last won the trophy in 1950, now face Adel who comfortably knocked out holders Burley. The Division B side were always up against it after Adel cruised to 222 for six and they only managed to get to a respectable 159 thanks to a last wicket stand between Andy Wheeler (56 no) and Chris Wheeler (24).

Last season's beaten finalists Guiseley moved into the semi-finals with an impressive 27-run win over North Leeds. Ian Chaplin led the way with a half century, well supported by Barry McCormick (42) before Andrew Paley and Neil Allitt helped bowl out North Leeds for 173 Guiseley now face Beckwithshaw, the surprise conquerors of league leaders

Bilton, but they must concentrate in the meanwhile on refinding their league form. Only a dogged nine-over stand by Paley and Marcus Brown gave them a point at Follifoot and while they are still in second place, Bilton's lead is now seven points.

Steeton, who looked odds on for relegation during the first half of the season, picked up a valuable win in a tight match against Beckwithshaw. Jonathan Smith helped dismiss the home side for 153 with a five-wicket haul that included a hat-trick in the last over.

He weighed in with a vital 41 not out but Steeton were still one behind as they faced the final ball. James Greenwood cracked a superb four.

Menston, another early season struggler, grabbed their second win in a row, beating Adel by five wickets largely thanks to Jim Dracup's half century and a four-wicket spell from Jason Scott.

Green Lane maintained their lead over Kirkstall in Division B after Chris Cay's unbeaten 93 helped them take five points at Burley, but Silsden's challenge faltered again when they crashed to a nine-wicket home defeat by Calverley. Gareth Lee (6-30) and Dan Theron (4-31) bowled Silsden out for 68, then, after Calverley lost a wicket to the first ball of their innings, the pair combined to knock off the runs.

Chris Quaife scored 82 as Ilkley got the better of a high-scoring draw at Hall Park. Ilkley's 296 for six took their tally in the last three games to 775 Hall Park, for whom Paul Woodhead scored 74, were up with the pace until the 38th over but after falling behind theclock, batted out for a draw.

Addingham kept up the pressure on Division C leaders Bardsey and Pool with a comfortable win over hapless Ben Rhydding, and Harden kept their hopes of promotion alive with an impressive win at Upper Wharfedale.

Set a target of 248, by far the Dalesmen's best score of the season, Harden got home with three wickets to spare with Paul Spencer (71) and Andy Moulds (50) taking the batting honours.
