Rawdon breezed into the semi-finals of the Birtwistle cup after a convincing ten wicket win at Collingham. The home side could muster only 153-8 in their allotted overs after Ian Vinall ripped through the top order returning figures of 3-7 off his nine overs.
After being 70-5 with 12 overs remaining Hall (57) and Cruddas (45no) accelerated to make the total more respectable but Collingham paid for the pedestrian start against the second string bowlers.
Filer bowled with pace, but little control, for the hosts and with no breakthrough forthcoming, Bell (68no) and Hall (62) eased Rawdon to victory. Morton impressed with figures of 9-3-11-0 but with the wicket column remaining empty no pressure was exacted on the visitors.
Victory came with ten overs left unused but Follifoot will prove to be sterner opponents indeed in the next round.
