Police today said the residents of Bradford were naming names of those involved in Saturday night's violence which rocked the city.
There have already been more than 40 calls to dedicated English and Urdu-speaking hotlines set up at the Bradford disorder incident centre.
Callers are giving names and information to detectives, who are busy sifting through evidence in a bid to bring the rioters to justice.
Chief Superintendent Phil Read pledged arrests would be made. "Some people have named names of those they believe were involved," he said. "We are confident that we will be able to effect the arrests of those involved.''
A team of 60 detectives has already been briefed by Detective Chief Superintendent Max McLean, who is leading the investigation.
The team has taken possession of 5,000 still photographs of incidents, taken from CCTV, police surveillance cameras and the police helicopter.
Det Supt McLean said he believed the crimes were the actions of a few, watched by many - and he asked those people to ring the incident room.
Det Supt Read said the decreasing levels of violence across the city were a positive sign but said police would maintain a high level presence.
"Some of the people arrested last night were 16 and 17 and we would urge parents to take responsibility and exercise control by knowing where their young people are and what they are doing," he said.
