A protective rubber sheath for mobile phones -- dubbed the 'Fondom' -- has been introduced by Keighley-based Link Telecom. According to the firm, the tongue-in-cheek name comes with a serious application.
Link Telecom's marketing co-ordinator Charlotte Mason explained: "The Fondom has proved particularly effective for manual workers employed in a messy environment as it offers all-round protection in the event of accidental spillage.
"The slip-on rubber cover has been purpose-designed for the Nokia range of mobiles and comes in small, medium and large sizes. It protects your equipment and makes it last longer without reducing the joy of using today's most popular telecommunications tool.
"Whatever will they think of next!"
