Corporate communications specialist Link Telecom, of Keighley, has been chosen by worldwide industry giant Samsung to trial a new digital telephone system that allows small businesses to tap into the latest digital technology at little cost.
According to Link Telecom director Mike Bower, the system enables small to medium-sized companies, including self-employed people working from home, to benefit from powerful communications facilities that have until now only been available on much more expensive systems.
Link Telecom has made major inroads into the digital telephony sector, particularly in opening up cost-effective access to SMEs.
The latest product launch complements another low-cost corporate digital telephone package, also from Samsung, which offers up to 16 in-house extensions, displays who is calling, has a direct dial numbers facility to each desk, transfers calls to external numbers such as mobile phones and automatically routes calls via cheaper networks.
"A 60 per cent saving on call charges is realistically achievable using both these systems," said Mike Bower. "There is no doubt that digital telephone technology is transforming the entire telecoms sector, particularly in the corporate marketplace. Companies across the region are fast cottoning on to the fact that digital systems can not only make their businesses run more efficiently, but can also save them money in the long run."
