Bowler David Brooke has scooped a £200 grant to help him realise his sporting dreams.
The 38-year-old from Steeton, who has learning difficulties, trains regularly at Shipley Bowling Club in Rae Road in preparation for the Special Olympics National Games in Cardiff next year.
Now he has received a cash donation from Drakes Pride Bowls in Liverpool which he intends to spend on new equipment.
Bradford Sport and Recreation Association for People with Disabilities is aiming to raise around £10,000 to send a squad of 40 sportsmen and women from the district to the special olympics.
