Rawdon threw the Aire-Wharfe Division A championship race up in the air by inflicting only the second defeat of the season on leaders Bilton.

There are now only nine points between themselves in fifth place and their opponents, who have 53. North leeds are second with 50.

Guiseley, slipped to third place after a one-wicket defeat. Kenrick Marshall was the hero for Rawdon, producing a four-wicket spell as Bilton were held to 153 for eight.

Marshall also top-scored with 37 as the home side reached victory by two wickets with six overs to spare.

Guiseley's batsmen never got going against relentless bowling that helped dismiss them for 110. Even with Barry McCormick producing testing deliveries that brought him five for 34, the target was too small to defend and Beckwithshaw scraped home.

Menston looked set to make it three wins in a row when they were 166 for two with 15 overs left, chasing Follifoot's 221 for nine. But accurate bowling by Greg Dixon (6-78) put them on the back foot and they were left ten runs short with two wickets left.

A fine 91 from Toby Koch and five for 45 from Andrew Potts were the highlights of Green Lane's seven-wicket win over Woodhouse that keeps them top of Division B.

Kirkstall, who crushed Calverley, are the closest pursuers, but Silsden kept alive their hopes by winning at Ilkley.

The ever reliable Chris Quaife (56) and Phil Sant (61) helped Ilkley to an impressive 220 for eight.

But the combination of John Akrigg (104 not out) and David Jackson (64 not out) saw Silsden to a nine-wicket win and halted a run of two defeats and a losing draw.

Burley also have an outside chance of promotion after a six-wicket spell from Nick Brook gave them the impetus to beat Alwoodley by three wickets.

Bolton Villas produced a surprise in Division C when they beat Bardsey by seven wickets, thanks to an unbeaten 70 from Barry Hawksworth and accurate bowling from Mark Hay and Chris Spivey.

After a poor start to the season, Harden are chasing the leaders and their ten-wicket victory over Ben Rhydding was their fifth in seven starts.

Neil Kettle (76 not out) and Andy Moulds (52 not out) led the run chase after Steve Bateman (6-31) had restricted the visitors to 144 for eight.

Olicanian could find no answer to the attack of Naveed Arif (7-14) and were dismissed for 54 in reply to Pool's 248 for eight.

Thackley, led by Chris Luxton's 70, made 277 for six, but Pool Mills hit back through David Pike, who cracked his second unbeaten century in as many weeks to take his side to 258 for eight and two points.
