A Keighley hardware business is celebrating continuing success with the opening of a new £600,000 headquarters.
Pickard Hardware has opened a new 8,000 sq ft, two-storey warehouse and office facility in Airedale Road with help from the town's Single Regeneration Budget (SRB).
The company, which has become a UK-wide distributor of joinery and building hardware and security products, hopes to add 15 jobs to its 12-strong workforce at the new site over the next few years.
Managing director John Pickard set up the hardware business in the town nearly 20 years ago.
He commented: "Continued commercial growth has necessitated this expansion and with the help of the Keighley SRB we are strengthening our local roots.''
Mr Pickard added: "The new development is more than double the size of our old premises in Valley Road, and over the next five years we are looking to treble our turnover and increase staff levels."
Mr Pickard stressed the importance of crucial SRB funding to helping local companies expand, and to helping the general economic prosperity of the area.
Councillor Lynne Joyce, chair of the Keighley SRB Partnership, worked closely with the hardware firm on the new development.
She said: "The partnership board are delighted to support another successful initiative which will bring jobs and businesses into the area.''
Coun Joyce added: "Pickard will add to Keighley's already dynamic economy and we are delighted to be associated with this investment."
