Wimbledon may be over but the tennis season is still in full swing down at Ilkley Tennis Club.
This is the busiest part of the year for the club. Arrangements are well in hand for the annual open tournament sponsored by Skipton Building Society and OHS. The event starts on Saturday, July 28 and runs through to finals day on Saturday, August 4.
This year there is no entry fee and the club looks forward to welcoming anyone interested in watching the top tennis action that is always a feature of the event.
Next week, leading into the tournament, the club plays host to Ladies County Cup. Six Counties will compete for the Division Three title and there will be some excellent ladies doubles matches in prospect.
Again anyone interested in watching is welcome to attend.

Ilkley Tennis club held their annual championships finals last Sunday and there was some exciting play to be enjoyed by the many spectators.
The event sponsored by Hawksworth Physiotherapy and Sports Clinic and Carli Gry / Cottonfields attracted a large entry this year and the only disappointment was the weather on finals day.
The rain may have stopped play on grass but there was some thrilling finals held indoor.
Special mention to Ross Connolly who won an enthralling three set match against Andy Hutchinson to add the men's singles title to the under-18 title he won earlier in the day.
They both contributed to another entertaining match when Connolly and Johnny Yip proved to strong for Andy and brother Gareth Hutchinson in the men's doubles final.
The ladies singles saw a reversal of fortune from last year with Angela Harker overcoming Georgina Jackson in two sets.
Georgina however had some consolation in winning the ladies doubles with Anita Perry and the mixed doubles with James Booker.
In the junior events Maria Kouvatsos made a clean sweep of the girls' singles titles winning the under-12, under-14, under-16 and under-18 events.
All the more remarkable considering she is only 11years-old.
Ben Murray-Potts was another junior dominating more than one age group taking the boys under-16 and under-14 titles.
In the girls' Under-10 final Hannah Rawson beat Charlotte Philpin 6-4, 6-2.
