Three Keighley Albion Cats have been selected for the Great Britain Ladies Rugby League squad to tour Australia in 2002.
Cats captain Laura Ackroyd, 20, has just finished an amazing season which saw her gain the Premier Division player of the season award.
The stand-off played in all 22 games scoring 242 points from 34 tries and 53 goals.
Centre Sarah Cartwright and winger Saima Hussain, pictured, are the other two chosen. Sarah often uses her pace to score long distance tries and is second to Laura in the try tally with 20.
Saima is the third highest scoring player with nine tries. She gained the most improved player award at Albion's presentation 2000.
Coach Andy MacDonald said it was a measure of the improvement of the team that the girls had made the final squad and a testament to their dedication.
A squad of 35 has been selected. After preparation the squad will be whittled down to 24 around April 2002. The players fly to Australia in July for a Test series.
