Pudsey Congs are back on top of Division One after a nine wicket win at Cleck-Heaton.

The defending champions leap-frogged over Baildon who had to settle for a four point draw at home to Farsley despite posting the biggest score of the day - 283 for five.

The most exciting finish was at Bradford & Bingley where Spen Victoria gained a dramatic four-wicket win with one ball to spare after eight overs had been lost to the rain.

Once again the match was a personal triumph for Spen's Australian all-rounder Grant Lambert who took six for 81 as Bradford & Bingley were bowled out for 210 and then led Spen's successful victory bid with 93.

It was a bad result for Bingley, who are battling against relegation, but they had the consolation of knowing that the three teams below them, Yeadon, Brighouse and Gomersal all lost so they remain one place above the relegation zone.

They owed much to their captain Pat Fordham, who held their innings together with an invaluable 69 not out after coming to the wicket at 70 for two.

The crucial partnership for Spen was 118 for the fourth wicket between Lambert and captain Steve Bethel (64no).

Bethel was at his aggressive best as he raced to his half-century from 36 balls.

When Lambert was out, caught and bowled by fellow Australian Richard McCarthy at 201, Spen needed only ten runs to win.

Lee Goddard struck the winning runs with one ball to spare when he cracked a four through mid-wicket.

Cleckheaton had no answer to Congs' Pakistani pace bowler Naveed Rana-ul-Has-san, who took seven for 40 in 16.2 hostile overs as the home side were bowled out for a paltry 99.

Congs lost Andy Bethel at 11, but James Middlebrook (54) and Barbar Butt (39) knocked off the runs required for victory in 19.5 overs in an unbroken second wicket stand of 92.

Richard Robinson scored 115 out of Baildon's large total and was well supported by opener Colin Chapman (68) and skipper James Goldthorp (38no).

Farsley made no effort to go for the runs and closed on 139 for three with captain Ashley Metcalfe unbeaten on 72.

East Bierley are third after a four-wicket win at Gomersal.

Chris Schofield with 109 and captain Bradley Parker (63no) were top scorers in Gomersal's total of 221 for three.

Bierley lost both openers for 25, but Andrew Bairstow put them back on course with a rapid half-century which came up in just 35 balls.

Yorkshire's Anthony Mc-Grath, playing himself back into form after recovering from an abdominal operation, guided them to victory with an undefeated 68.

Undercliffe recorded their fourth win in a row, beating Priestley Cup finalists Yeadon by 105 runs.

Toby Drummond was top scorer in Undercliffe's total of 198 for seven.

Yorkshire off-spinner Rich-ard Dawson took five for 14 as Yeadon were bowled out for 93.

Bottom club Brighouse's miserable season continued when Hanging Heaton condemned them to their 13th defeat.

Paceman John Carruthers showed his best form of the campaign as he took eight for 31 as Brighouse were shot out for 62 .

Hanging Heaton won by ten wickets as openers Steve Foster and Steve Bartle knocked off the runs.
