Thousands of car enthusiasts popped in to the Telegraph & Argus Motor Show 2001 yesterday to check out the latest in four-wheeled style.
An impressive array of vehicles, ranging from the stylish new Mini to Vauxhall's stunning looking road racer, the VX220, were on display at Bradford's Hanover Inter-national Hotel.
Hosted in association with the Sunwin Group, the event also offered a selection of activities, including a carousel ride, a bouncy castle, and face painting, for younger visitors. T&A motors manager Sarah Elliot said: "This is our sixth motor show and it's been the best one ever.
"People were queuing to get in at opening time and we've had thousands through the door.
"I think that's down to us having a bigger variety of car models this time and bringing in displays from the police and the army, along with all the entertainment which made it a great family day out."
Free "goodie bags" were given to the first 50 families through the doors, and a Ford Ka was up for grabs in a competition run by Bradford's Polar Ford dealership.
Bernard and Patricia Towers, from King's Road, Bolton, Bradford, were delighted with their visit.
"We've been to previous shows and this one was well set out and seemed to have a bit more variety," said Mr Towers.
"It's fun to just have a look at the cars without being pressured to buy anything," added Mrs Towers.
