Bradford South Labour MP, Mr. Tom Torney, has accused the Government of failing to act to deal with the problem of stray dogs and to meet the rabies threat. He plans to press the Prime Minister and two other Ministers to say what action they propose to take. The problem of stray dogs on Bradford's council estates, like Woodside, was growing and had to be dealt with, he said.

How many people who travel daily by Bradford Corporation trolley and motor buses know that the huge tyres on which the buses run do not belong to the Corporation? Mr CT Humpidge (manager of the Passenger Transport Department) says that the department has a contract with several tyre companies to take their tyres and pay them on a mileage basis.
