Club members trapped inside a building as it burned to the ground during the Bradford riots have spoken of their need for new premises.
Manningham Ward Lab-our Club was destroyed on the weekend of violence.
At a civic reception held by the Lord Mayor of Bradford Councillor Ghazanfer Khaliq in the City Hall banqueting room last night, committee members, pictured left with the Lord Mayor, told of their grief at losing a place which had become their lives.
Graham Hare, president for the last three years, said: "We have been in touch with Bradford Council and hopefully they will provide us with some land. The members have been feeling lost. I have not been a member for as long as some people and I feel like a part of me is missing."
The Lord Mayor said: "These people are the victims of that terrible weekend and I think it is important to build bridges and give them reassurance that they have the support of the people of Bradford."
