It was a recipe for success when four community bobbies, including PC Chris Green, pictured, cooked up meals for residents in Bradford.
The event, in Little Horton, was aimed at building bridges in the wake of the recent Manningham riots.
As well as roast dinners for £1, people from the areas of Little Horton, West Bowling and Marshfields areas were able to meet their local officers and voice their concerns to them.
PC Andy Doody said the officers already held regular surgeries and added: "After the recent public disorder, events like this are even more important so we can strengthen our links with the community.
"We do care about our communities and want to work with people to improve their quality of life and make them feel safe."
