A mixed-race family has been driven out of their Ravenscliffe home after being targeted during a night of violence.
Rosanna Khan and partner Jason Powell, pictured with her daughters Carrie Ann, left, and Roxanne, say they are too terrified to return to their house on Osterley Grove, which was surrounded by gangs during the weekend of rioting in Bradford.
The family will now be re-housed by Bradford Council.
Around 100 white youths ran amok on the Ravenscliffe estate on Monday July 19, and hurled missiles at a line of around 50 police officers.
Now Miss Khan and her partner are appealing to Bradford Council to help them in their plight.
Bradford-born Miss Khan, whose father is from Pakistan, said she was desperate to find a house for her half-Indian fiance and two daughters, aged 14 and 12, before her wedding in two weeks' time.
She said: "We moved into Ravenscliffe about four months ago because we were living in an Asian area and getting hassle from them. But now we're in a white area, we're not accepted there either.
"Nobody had said anything to us before that weekend. But then the house was surrounded by about 20 youths with cricket bats and it was only thanks to Jason's friend, who was white, that we got out. We fled for our lives - I've never been so terrified."
The family returned to their privately rented accommodation the following day to find Miss Khan's car being pelted with bricks.
"We were going to take some things for a week or so and let it calm down," she said.
"But they were throwing bricks -- we had about an hour to empty the house completely.
"We've only lived there for four months and we did it up from top to bottom. It's now three weeks after the riots and we've nowhere to live. The Council offered us a hostel, but I can't take my daughters there. We just need some help - we're not in this position because it's our fault."
Miss Khan said housing associations were jammed with waiting lists and she has to leave her brother's house, where the family are staying temporarily, by August 19.
A police spokeswoman today confirmed that officers had helped the family in moving their belongings and appealed for information on what had happened to the family.
Bradford Council's director of housing, Geraldine Howley, said: "We have now accepted the family as priority homeless and they will be going into temporary accommodation while we seek to re-house them."
l Six men have been charged with violent disorder in connection with incidents on Ravenscliffe estate on July 19.
