AFTER the disappointment of injury hit Bradford City pulling out of their pre-season friendly at Nethermoor Park Guiseley AFC are set to take on a Huddersfield Town side on Friday (7.30 pm). City have said that they will honour the fixture at a later date.
Manager Neil Parsley has some injury worries for Friday with defenders Matt Daly, Benn Gallagher and James Nettleton all having treatment but he has been happy with the response to three times a week training and hopes that the work of the new fitnes coach will bear fruit. There have been vast numbers at training with many of last season's youth and reserve team players keen to impress the manager along with some new faces.
Defender Simon Phillips has played a full part after being out for two seasons.
Guiseley's game at Garforth Town was moved at Town's request from last Tuesday to Saturday and Parsley also hopes to have Bradford Park Avenue among his pre-season games. Guiseley are also due to visit Tadcaster Albion, Harrogate Railway and Yorkshire Amateurs.
