AFTER their brief revival Stteton slipped back to old ways with a lack-lustre batting display.
Opener Alex Howarth was dismissed without a run on the board but Australian Grant Lindsay battled out for a top score of 34.
After reaching 50 for the third wicket there was a major collapse with four wickets tumbling for just 16 runs.
They struggled on to make 116, but it was not enough to give the bowlers a realistic chance of securing victory. Rawdon had reached 70 before both openers were dismissed trying to up the tempo, but it was a short respite for Steeton who saw the visitors secure the points with just three wickets down.
Silsden also had a bad day with the bat against Kirkstall Education.
Only Hayden Tennant made any real impression with an innings of 36.
Hugh Sugden (18) and A Emmott (11no) were stubborn lower inthe order, but the side was dismissed for 113 in l36.1 overs.
Kirkstall did not have things all their own way in the reply, and at one stage were 57-4, but they made sure of a five-wicket win.
It was a poor day all round for the South Craven clubs with both second teams also failing to make the grade.
J Greeenwood (40) topped Steeton's batting performance and was backed up by 30 not out from Brian Tunney as they set Ilkley a target of 147-9.
The Ilkley side took just 33.2 overs to reach their eight-wicket win.
Paul Bainbridge took six wickets for Silsden 2nds against Horsforth. The Leeds side reached 189 with S Riley (96) just missing out on his century.
After losing their first wicket with just seven runs on the board, and slipping to 31-3, Ian Sagar and paul Bainbridge teamed up to make Horsforth struggle.
Sagar scored 58 and bainbridge added 55 as they crept closer to the required target.
The lower order men could not keep up their hard work and the team fell just 17 runs short.
Harden kept up their chase for honours in Division C with a five-wicket win over Colton.
Setve Bateman took four for six as the home side were dismissed for 129 and Paul Spencer top scored with 39 in the successful reply.
Harden are no in third place on 55 points, 12 behind leaders Bardsey and 10 adrift of second placed Pool.
