ADAM FRADLEY helped Oakworth consolidate their place at the top of the first division - with victory over Foulridge in their War of the Roses.
Fradley scored 38 not out as the Oaks secured a seven-wicket win in the 25th over.
Earlier the Lancashire side had struggled to 50-6 before tailenders gave the side a lift reaching 100 before they lost their final wicke in the 40th over.
Haworth remain in third spot after triumphing in the Bronte derby. They batted first at Penistone Park and clattered 225-5 with Damian Rowell scoring 92 and brother Jamie 53. West End were hustled out for 107 in reply with Damian rounding off a fine match with 5-38.
Thornton climb back into fourth spot after a narrow three wicket win at home to Bradley, who contrived to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. The visitors went first and made 157-8 with Paul Hirst scoring 43 as Mark Paxton claimed 6-60. The Booth Bridge Lane side were on the ropes at 74-7. Given a life, Brian Laycock 66no, punished that mistake as only he can, and with Jeff Tipler 29no they initially rescued the dangerous situation then took their side to the points.
The old adage of 100 off 30 overs should be doubled by the close, was demonstrated very nicely by second placed Embsay down at Skipton CI. An opening stand of 96 by David Robinson 44 and James Tiffany ended in the 28th over. Two wickets followed quickly before John Hillary with five sixes and five fours in his 67 helped Tiffany to put on 93 for the 4th wicket. Tiffany made 72 before being run out and the innings ended on 225-6. The homesters were never in the hunt and were dismissed for 115. Luke Walker top scored with 27 as Steve Speak took 5-50 and Tom Hanson 4-41.
Barrowford slip back to fourth after a nightmare at Long Lee. They were shot out for a paltry 39 in the 35th over with only S Jones on 10 not out, reaching double figures. With Aussie Sam Kenny taking 5-18, Jamie Robinson 2-14 and Matt Taylor 2-0. The Keighley side strolled to an easy 10 wicket victory in the 11th over with Paul Wilkinson 28 not out.
Pendle Forest posted the days highest score, 286-5 at home to Carleton, M Ayub scoring a fine 127 and James Thackray 64no as Neville Allen claimed 4-67. The latter followed this with 54no as the Ramper Park side batted out their overs to finish on 141-7.
Sutton were never really in the game at home to Cowling. The visitors notched 225-4 which was 96 too many for the homesters.
Cullingworth are now six points clear at the top of the Second Division, second placed Chatburn having a free week. The leaders had to chase the 164-9 off visitors Gargrave, which they did successfully for the loss of only two wickets. Steve Welch scored 89no and Nick Nunn 49no. In the Gargrave innings D Robinson performed the hat-trick.
Cononley and visitors J Nelson's figured in a tie on 131 each. For the homeside A Starkie scored 35 as G Hayes claimed 4-17. There was a dramatic end to the game as with the scores tied and three wickets left, Jimmy's lost their bottle. Matthew Town took two wickets in an over to finish with 5-40, then his brother Andrew bowled the last man to take two points instead of none. For Jimmy's, D Parker scored 50.
Denholme's Rob Taylor just missed out on a century. He was dismissed for 96 as his side rattled up 246-7 at home to Ingrow St John's. The Saints replied with a very creditable 191. Wasim lead the way with 57. Another man to just miss the century was Phil Loftus. He made 94 as Airedale posted 180-7. C Brooks finished with 5-59. Keighley Tech's reply petered out at 76.
Ingrow were just too good for visitors Glusburn winning by 24 runs. They notched up 179-8 with Paul Goodwin scoring 74no as Brian Hollis finished with 4-55 off 22 overs. Craig Watts 34 led the unsuccessful reply as Ian Wilce took 4-16 in four overs.
The top three in the third division were in cracking form. Leaders Pendle Forest visited Haworth and scored 182 in their innings, Mohammed Akhtar leading with 44. The Bronte side could only manage 104 in reply, Adam Balderstone scoring 37. Best bowling was by Peter Hakin who took 3-18. Second placed Oakworth saw homesters Glusburn battle their way to 186-9 with Derek Mosley making 62 and Colin Ridehalgh 51 as Jamie Pennington took 6-23. The Cure Hill side were guided to the points by Lee Hollingsworth with 74 - winning by six wickets.
Third placed Embsay were in an uncharitable mood at home to Skipton CI. They shot the visitors out for 51 with Ian Robson taking 5-22 and John Metcalfe 4-4. The latter performing the hat trick, Mark Tucker with a quickfire 38no seeing his side to a 10 wicket win.
Barrowford clattered 216-6 at home to Long Lee, Nick Burton scoring a fine 95. The Keighley side were hustled out for just 51 with Granville Thompson taking 4-4 and Adam Foster 4-25.
Cowling's Vernon Rooke spun his way to 6-20 as visitors Sutton were dismissed for 102, the homeside's successful reply losing only two wickets as Mark Batty scored 37.
Thornton got out of jail over at Chatburn. They were 74-6 in reply to the homesters 210-9 when rain stopped play. For the Ribblesdale side Ted Topham made 63 and Geoff West 57.
The battle of the top two in the Fourth Division went the way of second placed Cullingworth. They dismissed Foulridge for 79 and romped to the points by five wickets.
Over at Barrowford Keighley TC were dismissed for a modest 58 with U Asghar taking 4-19. Roland Lyons 28no and Frank Coward 24no seeing Pendle Forest III to a ten wicket win.
Ingrow St John's were dismissed for 94 at home to Ingrow, the visitors winning by five wickets with D Golding scoring 34.
